TigerLogic acquires mobile app publisher Storycode

TigerLogic, a provider of data management and application development services for enterprises, has reached an agreement to acquire mobile app publishing studio Storycode. TigerLogic plans to integrate Storycode's technology into the Postano social visualization platform.

Storycode's mobile app publishing platform allows brands to create immersive mobile apps. With the integration of Postano, and Storycode, brands will have access to a social platform with mobile distribution capabilities. This new platform will allow brands to use original and fan-generated content to develop experiences across web, events, and mobile environment. The Storycode platform leverages existing content management systems, social platforms, and video channels, to create and populate content apps.

James McDermott, former CEO of Storycode, has been appointed as TigerLogic's SVP, mobile and social. Justin Garrity, former chief creative officer of Storycode, has assumed the role of VP, product and marketing.
