MITS Launches Limited Beta Release of MITS Report
MITS Report, the next-generation, interactive reporting environment
from MITS,
is now being beta tested by selected customers. Created for MultiValue
databases
(IBM UniData and UniVerse, D3, and jBase), this groundbreaking,
Web-based
product is different from anything else on the market in terms of ease
of use
and speed.
MITS Report is the result of customer and partner demand for a
MITS-caliber
operational reporting tool. MITS is the developer of the pioneering
technology
in the MITS Discover OLAP Business Intelligence system, and boasts the
largest
team anywhere focused exclusively on reporting for MultiValue
databases. The
company has devoted the last decade to helping thousands of
organizations
worldwide overcome their reporting challenges.
Reporting without Querying
MITS Report revolutionizes access to operational data by providing
true
“self-serve” reporting. Users of all technical levels can retrieve
data, access
existing reports, and customize standard reports. They can also make
new reports
using the built-in functionality for sorting, adding columns,
filtering,
exporting, and more—without needing to know a query language, a
database layout,
or MultiValue dictionaries. “We’ve found that most users start with a
standard
report and then modify it,” Fred Owen, president of MITS states, “and
this
interactive reporting flexibility is where MITS Report shines.”
Gentle Learning Curve
The designers of MITS Report carried out extensive research on the
latest
advances in usability to deliver a highly intuitive, well-organized,
and
familiar user interface. The navigation system in MITS Report features
drop-down
menus, eliminating the need for wizards many report generators rely on
or
hardcopy manuals.
Fast Access to Data
MITS Report prevents frustrating time lags associated with waiting for
vital
information to be displayed as reports. MITS Report offers a way to
get at an
organization’s data quickly and efficiently, accessing data and
displaying
tailored reports within seconds. In addition, because the software is
easily
installed and integrated with an organization’s system, more time can
be spent
exploring MITS Report, not waiting for it to be set up. With reporting
workflow
and turnaround times streamlined, IT professionals can focus their
efforts on
strategic projects.
Secure Data
Based on the proven security model in MITS Discover, MITS Report has
built-in
password protection for all functions. Users access the reporting
environment
using their unique login and password information, which gives them
the power to
create and save reports, locate stored reports in libraries, and rerun
reports
safely.
